Our Story
I'm Alex Martinez, also known as 0xninja. My journey in InfoSec/CyberSec began at a young age, driven by my passion for gaming and computing. I immersed myself in interconnecting computers for LAN games, uncovering the inner workings of video games and the rule-breaking that fascinated me.
In 2010, I earned my first security certification, but my exploration of offensive and defensive cybersecurity began in the late '90s. Attending 2600 meetings at the CITI Group building, I delved deeper into this realm. After leaving the US Marine Corps in 2007, I founded Red Pill Security with a mission to build secure environments and specialize in incident response.
My path led me into Network and Systems Administration, working for a school in NYC while maintaining my cybersecurity focus. By 2012, I transitioned to the Telecom Industry, where I realized that despite substantial security investments, incidents persisted. Many solutions were cookie-cutter, ignoring unique setups and processes.
This realization ignited my determination to provide tailored security solutions. At Red Pill Security, we reject one-size-fits-all approaches.
